The BILL OF RIGHTS of REVOLT N REIGN

Proclaimed in the Year of Our Game, 2025

That the Rights of the Player, and the Nature of this Contest, be forever known.

PREAMBLE

The Conventions of the Players, having at the time of their adoption expressed a desire in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse regarding the nature and purpose of this game — and further, that the spirit of its creation be publicly known and preserved for all who take up its cards — hereby propose the following Articles as amendments and declarations. These shall be construed to explain and defend the rights inherent to every player, the principles upon which this game was founded, and the liberties it was designed to champion.

Amendment I

The Right of Origin

Congress of Convention having convened in August of 2025, a simple but powerful idea sparked the creation of Revolt N Reign.

The designer shall retain the right to establish this game's founding moment as August 2025, when the question was first posed: what if a strategy card game could capture the eternal struggle between liberty and tyranny — the same struggle that shaped the birth of a nation? That question shall not be forgotten. It is the first article of this game's existence.

Amendment II

The Right to Break from Convention

A well-regulated imagination, being necessary to the vitality of a free gaming republic, the right of this game to bear its own thematic arms shall not be infringed.

Revolt N Reign is hereby declared distinct from the prevailing traditions of fantasy card games. No dragons shall govern these cards. No monsters, no distant galaxies, no invented worlds shall serve as its foundation. In their place stand real principles, real documents, and real ideas — the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the writings that defended liberty when the republic was young. This game shall draw its power from history, not mythology.

Amendment III

The Right of Strategic Depth

No player shall be quartered in a game of shallow mechanics, without their full consent, in any manner whatsoever.

Every player is guaranteed a game of genuine strategic weight. Revolt N Reign is a deep contest in which players build decks, discover powerful synergies, and battle for victory through multiple paths. Each match becomes a contest of planning, adaptability, and insight. The game shall never be reduced to a single dominant strategy, a predetermined outcome, or a path requiring no thought. The right to be challenged — and to challenge in return — is inviolable.

Amendment IV

The Right of Multiple Victory

The right of players to pursue the victory condition of their choosing, and to not be unreasonably confined to a single path of conquest, shall not be violated.

No player shall be bound to a single road to victory. Four sovereign paths to triumph have been established and shall remain protected: the reduction of an opponent's Liberty Points to zero; the dismantling of all three Unconstitutional Acts; the achievement of a Petition and Pillar Scroll victory while Liberty Points endure; and the forcing of an opponent to draw from an empty deck. Each path is lawful. Each path is complete. The player shall choose their cause freely.

Amendment V

The Right to Confront Unconstitutional Acts

No player shall be compelled to suffer the unchallenged dominion of Unconstitutional Acts, nor be deprived of the means to dismantle them.

The design of this game reflects the tension between liberty and control. Unconstitutional Acts arrive already in play at the start of every contest, representing the creeping influence of power and corruption that erodes freedom over time. Every player is guaranteed the right — and bears the duty — to confront them. Through clever deck building and strategic play, these instruments of oppression may be overcome. The game shall never shield tyranny from challenge.

Amendment VI

The Right of Founding Inspiration

In all proceedings of play, the player shall have the right to engage with the ideas that shaped the United States — and this game shall always preserve that connection.

What makes Revolt N Reign truly unique is its foundation in the documents and ideas that forged a republic. The United States Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Federalist Papers are not merely decorative sources — they are the intellectual architecture of the game itself. Players are invited to encounter these ideas not through rote study, but through strategy, competition, and discovery. Every card quote, every mechanic, every faction reflects a principle worth knowing. This connection to history shall never be severed.

Amendment VII

The Right of the Young Citizen

The right of the next generation to encounter history through means beyond the textbook shall be preserved, and no barrier of disengagement shall interpose itself between young minds and the principles of liberty.

This project began with a simple mission: bring meaningful ideas to players in a format that is engaging, competitive, and thought-provoking. Many young people encounter history only through classrooms and required reading. Revolt N Reign extends an invitation beyond those walls — conveying the ideas of freedom, rights, and the balance of power through gameplay. The game shall always encourage curiosity, strategic thinking, and independent minds. That mission is as foundational as any rule in the rulebook.

Amendment VIII

The Right of Seven Subsets

Excessive limitation of card variety, or the cruel and unusual punishment of restricting players to a single strategic archetype, is hereby prohibited.

Every card in this game contributes to a larger strategic ecosystem. Seven key subsets — Attack, Defense, Bills, Freedom, Pillars, Rights, and Unconstitutional Acts — have been established, each serving a distinct and sovereign purpose in shaping the battlefield. Within these mechanics lies a vast landscape of deck combinations waiting to be discovered. No combination shall be declared unlawful before it is tested. No strategy shall be dismissed before it is played.

Amendment IX

The Rights Retained by the Player

The enumeration of certain strategies in this game shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the players.

The true life of Revolt N Reign begins when players take the cards, build their decks, and explore strategies that even the designer may not have imagined. The rights of the player extend beyond any combination printed in the rulebook or demonstrated at any table. The possibilities are wide open. Every match is a test of ideas, tactics, and resolve. The player is not bound by convention — they are bound only by the cards in their hand and the liberty of their imagination.

Amendment X

The Powers Reserved to the Game Itself

The powers not delegated to any single archetype, nor prohibited by the rules to the players, are reserved to the game respectively — or to the contest.

This is not a fairy tale world. This is not a monster battle. The powers of this game are reserved for something greater: a strategy grounded in principles, a contest where the ideas that built a republic are tested one card at a time. Revolt N Reign is the first of its kind — and whatever strategies arise, whatever victories are claimed, whatever unexpected outcomes unfold across ten thousand matches, they belong to the game and to the players who give it life.

RATIFICATION

The foregoing ten Articles having been duly composed and found to express the true nature, purpose, and spirit of Revolt N Reign, they are hereby declared the Bill of Rights of this game — to be read by every player who takes up cards, consulted by every designer who adds to its legacy, and preserved for every generation that discovers within its mechanics an idea worth understanding.
